Perspectival Sketch and Roof Plan Sketch

Roof Plan Sketch and Perspectival sketch. Really trying to show/figure out the roof overhang. More to follow in the next day or so (ie building section).

Nick,

I am eager to see how you develop the nice idea of the sculptural roof. The top sketch is stronger, because of its vantage point and showing the roof in conjuction with the stairs and the overall site.

The other sketch is not convincing yet: it focusses too much on the building, which is not developed yet.

Hi Nick,

The form in your sketches is intriguing but I agree with Enno in that they aren't convincing as a whole. I've been using sketchup for everything thus far and it has helped me with the floor/section/elevation relationship studies immensely. I would highly recommend it if you know the program. A nice cross section cutting through your building would be great for showing its connection to the street. And one cut the other direction would help identify what the plaza space between your building and the mall feels like.
